TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR JOHN RYMELL CHIMNEY SWEEP
I undertake to do the best job possible for my customers. Of course, like most business there is some ‘small print’ so here it is.
Customers details will be held electronically on a secure database system and will not be shared with any third party unless previously agreed by you.
Various payment options are offered. You may pay by cash, by cheque payable to John Rymell Chimney Sweep, or by BACS transfer.
I understand that customers have busy lives too. If you have to change or cancel an appointment, please give as much notice as possible. I reserve the right to charge a fee in the event that no one is home when I attend the property, and/or I cannot gain access. I also reserve the right to charge in the event of a last-minute cancellation, (less than a full 48 hours notice).
NESTS OR BLOCKAGES
I am unable to remove live nests when Jackdaws are nesting as it is illegal to do so (please see the RSPB guidelines). If we find a nest in the chimney when we are sweeping, we will usually arrange to come back to remove it when it is legal to do so.
While great care is taken to prevent damage to your property, I cannot be held responsible for badly maintained or deteriorating pots, cowls, chimney stacks, fireplaces, liners, stoves and stove firebricks. I cannot accept any responsibility for these coming loose, breaking or falling off.
Steel lined flues are not indestructible. For stainless steel flexible and rigid flue systems I will use a specific head and rods to undertake the power sweep.
I am a local, professional chimney sweeping and rely on customers coming back year after year. If you like what I do, please tell everyone! If I have disappointed you in any way, please tell me!
